Some of the features that are different from the ones that were available in the past are the absence of PIN fees, access to simplified online banking and also a certain number of reimbursements for international ATM fees. All the features offered on these three new accounts that are being rolled out are targeted towards helping students have a better control over the finances and manage their money wisely.

M&T Bank will give you a checking account bonus of $100 in cash if you add a direct deposit to your MyChoice Checking Account. If you already have this checking account with them, you need to activate the direct deposit feature within 90 days upon account opening.

Louisiana seems to be pooling quite a number of high yielding rewards checking accounts. The most attractive we have so far is La Capitol’s All Access Advantage Checking Account. This one earns up to 5.25% APY on balances of up to $5,000. If there’s one downside to this deal that’s keeping it from being the best checking account in the state, it’s the low cap balance.
